Building Resilience at Work and Home in the Era of COVID-19
Dr. Jodie Benabe, Psy. D, CEDS, CCTP
Stress and anxiety impact our health and wellbeing. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the landscape of our world and altered the fabric of how we live. The National Society for Histotechnology (NSH) reported that 62% of respondents surveyed experienced an increase in work-related stress during the pandemic (NSH, 2021). Histotechnologists have been uniquely susceptible to burnout and emotional stress related to environmental safety, work demands, and the uncertainty of job and/or financial security. This workshop will help participants gain an understanding of the effects and risk factors associated with burnout, as well as prevention strategies and tools to deal with burnout through both didactic presentation and experiential activities.
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM - Presentation 4
International Lab Setup
